- 1 tsp Olive Oil (at least)
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 1/4 tsp Thyme
- 1/4 tsp Sage

- Dash of Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Cooking: I usually cook and clean as I go, here is how I started this dish:

- First, boil water in a large pasta pot before anything else, now prepare...
- Use oil to cover the base of your smaller cookware and heat on low
- Add uncut, but peeled garlic
- Add onion, can just cut in half, stir
- While the garlic and onion are cooking on low (in the smaller pot, not the boiling water pot), prepare the basil leaves (I buy these on the stem) and rinse
- Rinse a handful of spinach
- Around this time the water will be boiling, add your pasta
- Add the rinsed basil and spinach, at least 2 large scoops of your boiled water, your spices, olive oil, the cooked garlic, and onion to the blender, now blend!
- Once the pasta is 'al dente' (sticks to the teeth), drain most of the water, but leave a little in the container pot (the pasta does not even have to hit the strainer, this will save a step)
- Add the pesto (from the blender) to the pasta
- Final stir
- Let it sit for 5 minutes so it thickens if you can wait!
- Serve! Pesto Pasta has always been one of my most loved dishes. I only recently started to make my own pesto sauce once I went Vegan, I didn't have too many choices, plus It is easier than making red-sauce (in my opinion)! This could not be easier to prepare and it will be worth the experience, try it!
